The new season is here, and it’s time to take another look at Black Ops 7 guns list. LepreStore recently dropped a close look at the beta in this article BO7 Guns List, so we took it as a base and pulled out the most important things. Don’t expect heavy stat tables, just what actually counts if you want to start the season ready.

The best guns in BO7 beta (October 2–8) gave us a good early picture of the weapon balance and showed which guns are leading the first version of the meta. Sure, it’s not the final form yet, but the foundation is absolutely visible.

Main Point: No Universal BO7 Beta Gun This Time

One of the main points the article emphasizes about the BO7 meta guns is that every weapon type has its own distance at which it performs best. So yeah, the old “pick one gun and kill everyone” playstyle is forgotten. It’s more about how you play and picking weapons that match how you play.

To show it super simply:

  • Assault Rifles are for players who like a steady, controlled fight. They are reliable and work on almost any map. But don’t expect they can fire as fast as an SMG when things get close.
  • SMGs (Subs) are for aggressive players who like to push rooms, take control points, and stay in people’s faces. They are great up close, but tricky at a distance.
  • Marksman Rifles are for players who hold angles and play smart, picking enemies off at mid-range. If you keep the distance right, they hit hard. But if someone gets up close… yeah, that’s rough.

So no one gun can tackle everything anymore. You actually have to adapt your loadout to the situation, and luckily, there’s plenty of Black Ops 7 guns to choose from.

More details about the weapon types are below.

Assault Rifles (AR): Your Guns for Most Fights

In the Black Ops 7 gun list, assault rifles are some of the most reliable weapons:

  • M15 MOD 0 – a solid starter gun, easy to use on almost any map.
  • MXR-17 – stronger at mid to long range, but slower when moving.
  • Peacekeeper MK1 – better for fast, close-up fights.
  • X9 Maverick – promising, but still being fine-tuned.

So, stick with ARs if you want a gun that works in most situations.

SMGs: Guns for Aggressive Players

Among all the Call of Duty Black Ops 7 guns we tested in the beta, SMGs stood out the most in close-range fights. Some of the top picks:

  • Dravec 45 – controlled, stable, and works well at close and mid-range.
  • Ryden 45k (Razor 9mm) – super fast, but the recoil takes some getting used to.
  • Graz 45k – more of a basic, beginner-friendly option.

A lot of testers said the Dravec 45 was the most fun to use, so definitely keep it in mind.

Marksman & Sniper Rifles: Accuracy and Power

The article especially appreciated the M8A1. Thismarksman rifle is definitely a favorite for players who like to hold angles and shoot from a distance. It’s easy to control, doesn’t kick much, and really rewards players who aim carefully.

Snipers like the VS Recon also stood out in the beta. They hit super hard, often taking someone out with one shot. But aim carefully and time your shots. Miss, and you can be in trouble.

So yeah, long-range guns are powerful, but they don’t forgive mistakes. If you play smart and patiently, they’ll wreck. If not… you’ll pay for it.

Shotguns, Heavy Weapons & Secondaries

Shotguns in the beta are about risk and reward among the Black Ops 7 best guns. Up close, they can take someone out instantly. Too far, and they barely do anything.

LMGs like the MK.78 work well if you like holding points and supporting your team with steady fire. What about pistols? They are useful for finishing off enemies in tight spots.

Secondary weapons are not in focus, but they have their uses in the right situations.

LepreStore’s Take on Early Favorites

The article highlights the best guns BO7 based on how the weapons feel and perform in actual play.

Here’s the quick rundown:

Playstyle Recommended Guns
Calm, controlled fights M8A1, MXR-17
Aggressive rush Dravec 45, Peacekeeper MK1
Position-based long-range VS Recon

The article also points out that the Black Ops 7 gun list will almost certainly change after the full release. And that’s totally normal. The developers will tweak damage, recoil, and fire rates. It’s going to be fun to test them out and find what fits your style.

Where to Practice Your Guns Before the Season

You can already start working on your aim, movement, and distance before the full release. On the LepreStore site, you can order a BO7 bot lobby – a chill place to train where you can test tactics, feel weapon recoil, and get ready for the new season without stress or random teammates.

Can’t wait for the new season to drop – it is almost here, and going to be epic!
