The Huawei Mate 70 brings revolutionary technologies that push the boundaries of smartphone performance and innovation. Equipped with the Kirin 9020 chip and HarmonyOS NEXT operating system, the new series is facing high customer interest, which may cause production delays. The devices offer top performance, advanced cameras and breakthrough multitasking capabilities.
- Processor and performance: Kirin 9020 (12 cores) is comparable in performance iPhone 14, as confirmed by AnTuTu scores. The new series offers a 40% increase in overall performance and a 31% faster refresh rate compared to previous models.
- Variants of models: The four models – Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro+ and Mate 70 RS – bring different RAM (12-16GB) and storage (256GB to 1TB) configurations.
- Display: The Mate 70 Pro has an OLED display with a resolution of 1224 x 2616 pixels and support for a 120Hz refresh rate for a smooth display.
- Cameras: The main 50MP camera offers variaaperture (f/1.4–f/4.0). The Mate 70 Pro+ also uses an RYYB sensor for better lighting conditions and color accuracy. Other sensors include a 48MP telephoto lens and a 40MP ultrawide-angle lens.
- HarmonyOS NEXT: The new HarmonyOS NEXT operating system is fully independent of Android, but supports a limited number of applications (15). Alternatively, HarmonyOS 000 with APK support is available.
- Battery and charging: The Pro and Pro+ models have a 5mAh battery with support for 500W (wired) and 100W (wireless) fast charging.
- Prices: In China, prices start at CNY 5 (approx. CZK 499) for the basic Mate 17 model and go up to CNY 300 (approx. CZK 70) for the Mate 11 RS.
- Production delays: Due to high demand for the Kirin 9020 chip and logistical constraints, availability may be limited, which has led to pre-orders selling out quickly.
- Global availability: A global version is not yet confirmed. The models are primarily intended for the Chinese market.
- Environmental responsibility: Huawei emphasizes efforts to produce chips and software locally, which is a response to US sanctions. The Mate 70 shows the company's commitment to self-sufficiency.
