While most phones boast that they can handle a little water and a few drops, the Oppo A5 Pro 5G doesn't give a damn. It has an IP69 certification, which is the highest a consumer can get today. And on top of that, it has the military standard GJB150A-2009, which means that the phone can withstand extremes that the average mortal won't even experience, such as frost down to -35 °C or heat up to 47 °C. If you work outside, travel a lot, or are just plain clumsy, this is the model you can rely on.

The 6,7-inch AMOLED display is so vibrant, blacks are truly black, and the overall experience is simply a joy. Plus, it has a 120Hz refresh rate, so transitions and movements are smooth, which you'll appreciate not only when scrolling but also when gaming. And the 1200-nit brightness? Easily readable even in bright sunlight.

Hardware at a height

Inside it beats MediaTek Dimensity 7300, which is a chip that can handle both regular and more demanding work without hesitation. Plus, up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage, so you can afford to download whatever you want and applications won't just start slowing you down. The system runs on Android 15 with ColorOS 15, which is fast, simple and intuitive.

The days of searching for a charger after lunch are over. The A5 Pro 5G has a 5800 mAh battery that will easily last the whole day, even if you don't save it. And thanks to the 45W fast charging, you can charge it really quickly. The Chinese version has 6000 mAh and 80W, but the difference in practice will not be significant.

The main sensor has 50 MPx, and it is supported by a 2 MP monochrome sensor. It is not a system like in flagships, but it is more than enough for regular photography. The selfie camera has 16 MPx and can cope even in poor lighting conditions. The night mode or portrait effects are also nice.

Of course, there is 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC for contactless payments. In addition, Oppo has used its Hunter Antenna technology, which promises a better signal even where regular phones lose their breath, such as in an elevator or in the countryside. And you will also be pleased with the stereo speakers, which play really well.

The price for the Indian market has not yet been fully confirmed, but in China the 8GB/256GB model starts at around $275 (approx. 6 CZK). variaYou will pay extra for 12GB/512GB, but the price should stay below CZK 8. For that money you will get equipment that is more than decent in the mid-range class, plus durability that the competition usually does not offer.
