When you buy an Android phone, you'll find a variety of Google apps on it. Whether you buy a Pixel 10, Xiaomi 15, or Redmi Note 13, Google has an agreement with manufacturers to pre-install its apps. And they also force a Google search widget onto your home screen.
For many users, it is Search bar a quick shortcut to find something on Google without having to open the internet browser application. In addition, you can add up to 3 different shortcuts to it, which will allow you to launch, for example, with one click Google Lens, search by voice, and so on. But you might not like this search box Google doesn't like it at all. Fortunately, there's an easy way to change it:
- Open the application Google marked with the colored letter G.
- In the top right, tap yours profile picture or initial.
- Choose Settings.
- Click on Customize the Search widget.
At that moment you have a choice of 5 different color themesYou can either leavechat system settings, or choose light, dark, or custom. You can then play around with different color tones for custom. And there's also a device-specific theme that matches your wallpaper.

You can also set widget transparency, i.e. its transparency. The wallpaper may not be visible through it at all or it may be almost transparent. You can easily adjust everything to your liking using the slider.

Once you're happy with your Google Search widget, you can save it. And if you don't like something or need a different shortcut, you can easily change it back.
