Vivo today introduced a pair of its new flagship phones in the Austrian capital – the vivo X300 and vivo X300 Pro. The launch took place in China on October 13, but the phones were not yet available anywhere outside of their home country. Now they are crossing its borders and you can buy the vivo X300 and vivo X300 Pro in most European countries and in major Asian markets.
Our editorial team received a more advanced model Vivo X300 Pro, which is more interesting than the compact base X300. At first glance, it is very similar to its predecessor vivo X200 Pro, it has almost the same size circular photo module and again cameras from ZeissIt is stored in an elegant square black box and along with it you will also find a tool for opening the SIM slot and a charging cable. The adapter is missing, so if you want to achieve the promised charging speed up to 90 W, you have to buy the right one. Or you can use 40W wireless charging.
Excited after unpacking perfectly glossy display, which looks more like a mirror, but you can see every speck on it. After turning it on, you go through the classic startup process like any Android phone, you can drag your contacts and data from your previous phone here via Wi-Fi, set up your Google account and in a moment the phone is ready to use.
I appreciate that despite its larger size (the dimensions are 161,98 × 75,48 × 7,99 mm) and higher weight (226 grams) fits well in the hand, does not slip and is not particularly heavy. It is not a thin mobile phone, as Honor, for example, tries to be. But despite the large photomodule It holds up well and looks very fresh and modern. I also like that even though the module is huge and sticks out a lot from the body of the vivo X300 Pro, the phone doesn't move when placed down. doesn't nod (as is the case with Galaxy S25 Edge).
At first glance, this is a very nice photomobile. And it really is a photomobile – you can buy it with photo set vivo ZEISS 2.35× Telephoto Extender Kit, which will make your photos even better. Honestly, a layman won't use it, because the vivo X300 Pro itself offers up to 100x digital zoom You can take surprisingly good photos with it, and we'll show you that in our upcoming photo test. Regarding cameras Vivo X300 Pro, so specifically here we find:
- main 50 MPx, f/1.57, OIS
- ultra wide-angle 50 MPx
- periscopic 200 MPx, f/2.57, OIS, 3,7x zoom
- front 50 MPx
Inside the vivo X300 Pro ticks an advanced processor Dimensity 9500 manufactured with a 3nm process. It has up to 16 GB of RAM, but it can be increased by another 16 GB. The storage is 256 GB to 1 TB and the vivo X300 Pro runs on Android 16 and Origin OS 6OriginOS is now making its debut on the global market, and thanks to the technologies Ultra-core Computing, Memory Fusion and Dual Rendering is faster and smoother than its predecessor.
vivo X300
What about the basic vivo X300? I got my hands on it at the vivo launch event in Vienna and it is very similar to its upgraded sibling. It has a slightly smaller battery capacity, the same fast charging, and instead of a 200MP periscope, it has 200Mpx main lens and "only" 50Mpx periscopeIts advantage is its smaller size. 150,57 × 71,92 × 7,95 mm and weight 190 gramsThe storage options are identical, it is powered by the same Dimensity 9500 chipset, and in this case it is a very powerful camera phone, but it fits better in your pocket.
Both models handle 4K video at 120 FPS, while the X300 Pro also offers Dolby Vision video and 10bit Log Recording. They are also the first phones on the market to offer portrait video recording in 4K at 60 FPS. And with image enhancement it helps AI Image Studio bringing features like AI One-Shot Multi-Crop, AI Landscape Master, and AI Passerby Erase.
