One of the biggest advantages of Android is the variety of apps. And that includes keyboards. Users can choose from tools like SwiftKey, Fleksy or Samsung Keyboard, but for most of them, Google's Gboard remains the clear choice. It offers a simple interface, reliability and a constant stream of new features.

One of the benefits Gboard is that it makes it easier to type numbers. Many users still switch between keyboard views so they can type numbers directly instead of holding down the key. However, Gboard allows show a separate row with numbers directly above the letters. To turn it on, hold down the comma key, then select Settings > Preferences > Number Row.

Similarly, you can Android activate also abbreviations for special characters. In Preferences, turn on the option Hold down the symbol key. The symbols will then appear in the corner of each letter key. For example, if you assign "omw" to "On my way", the keyboard will suggest the full expression after you type the abbreviation. You can find this feature in Settings > Dictionary > Personal dictionarySome may be bothered by the abundance of sticker designs and features emoji kitchen, which combines emoticons. Both options can be easily turned off in Settings > Emoji, stickers & GIFs (simply uncheck the suggestions).

Gboard is one of the most versatile tools on Android. With a few simple tweaks, you can significantly speed up your typing and make your everyday communication more enjoyable. And since Google is adding new features regularly, it's worth keeping an eye on updates.
