The latest generation of Android phones has brought some interesting developments in terms of battery life, with the HONOR Power model with its 8,000 mAh battery being the most impressive. However, it seems that this limit will soon cease to be exceptional. According to informationmacManufacturers from China are working on phones with even larger batteries.
Well-known leaker Digital Chat Station reports that Xiaomi tests devices with a battery capacity of 10 000 mAhwhich is to support up to 100W wired charging. A full charge should take about an hour, which is surprisingly short for such a large capacity. Reports also suggest that Realme a OnePlus are preparing mobile phones with almost identical capacity. It should be a single-cell solution with a typical value between 9,900 and 10,000 mAh.
It is also interesting to note that one of the manufacturers has already started testing smartphone with 12,000mAh battery and even has concept with a capacity of up to 15,000 mAhIf this informationmacIf confirmed, we can expect a significant shift towards extreme durability, even in the lower price category. Other clues also point to HONOR, which according to leakers is preparing two models around the border 10 mAh. And one with a chipset MediaTek Dimensity 8500 and the second one Snapdragon 7 series.
The question remains whether phones with such large batteries will they will also get it outside of China. Rules for transporting batteries in Europe and the USA because they limit maxminimum capacity of a single cell. While manufacturers sometimes use dual-cell designs, the OnePlus/Realme device in question is supposed to be single-cell, which significantly questions its global availability.
