Android 16 is still causing work apps to crash, and Google has yet to offer a working fix. While the company claims to have fixed the issue in the latest beta, many users are reporting otherwise — especially Pixel 6 and newer owners.
The problem mainly concerns applications Microsoft Office and Teams, which crash on startup or during use. Most often, problems occur within work profile, while in personal, the applications can work without problems. However, some users experience crashes in both profiles without difference.
Although Google in its changelog for the latest beta version Android 16QPR3 says that problems with Microsoft Intune has been resolved, reality shows that the fix was probably not complete. Intune is a tool for managing corporate devices, which raises suspicions that Google focused only on enterprise environments and left regular users with an unresolved problem.
Several appeared on the forums and Issue Tracker unofficial solutions. One of them is participation in the application beta program Microsoft Intune or Company Portal in Google PlaySome users also report that it helped again activate Android System WebViewif it was deactivated.
However, for now there is no universal solution and Google has not provided any new update regarding this issue in recent weeks. If you are facing the error and need the apps to work, this may be a temporary solution revert to stable version of Android 16This step should no longer result in data loss, but may require intervention from the device administrator.
