Gone are the days when mobile phones had 32GB of storage and that was enough for us. Today, even the basic 128GB is not enough for most of us and many people are reaching for variaIt comes with 512GB of internal memory. And it's no wonder. Applications, games, photos, high-quality videos and other data can fill up the available memory very quickly. That's why it's a good idea to clean your phone from time to time to get more space.

The second important step should be clearing cache. The so-called cache can take up more space than you can imagine. However, you don't need it for normal operation and it may even block some important functions. The procedure varies slightly between Android phone brands, but for example on Samsung Galaxy you do this as follows:
- Find the icon of the app you want to clear the cache for.
- Hold it for a long time.
- Select the "i" symbol.
- Scroll down and select the Storage menu.
- Tap Clear memory.

Other items that may catch your attention are Android system apps and your phone manufacturer. If you have a Xiaomi phone, you will find a lot of them. reinstalled applications of this manufacturer. The same applies to Samsung and others. If you don't want them and don't use them, you can safely uninstall them. For example, Samsung Internet and Galaxy Stores are for many of us superfluous items that can easily be replaced Google Play to Chrome.
And then there are Android system apps. But be careful with those so you don't accidentally delete something that is essential for the proper functioning of your phone's system. Unnecessary apps include: AICore, which takes up an incredible 7 GB of space. You can find it in mobiles with more demanding AI models (such as Gemini Nano) and keeps them up to date. And it uses quite a bit of power. You can't uninstall it, but you can prohibitAnd if you uninstall its updates at the same time, you get up to 7 GB of space:
- Open it Settings.
- Select an item Application.
- Click on View all apps.
- Choose AICore.
- choose Prohibit.
- Tap the three dots in the upper right corner.
- choose Uninstall updates.
AI apps will then continue to work normally, but there will be fewer pop-ups about their possible improvements. And you may find that your phone drains a little slower. But the biggest advantage, in my opinion, is that you will get significantly more space for the data and files you really need.
