It seems that Xiaomi wants to focus more on sound this year - and not just by using traditional stereo through the top and bottom grilles of the phones. According to a leak from the famous leaker Smart Pikachu, it has decided to continue its collaboration with BOSE, and the upcoming premium models will feature an unusual three-speaker setup.
Better surround sound
The leak follows a solution that appeared on some previous models under Xiaomi's rebrands (POCO/Redmi). In addition to the classic pair of speakers, an additional one is expected to be added. third "extra" speaker located near the rear camera moduleIt should look similar to Redmi K90 Pro MaxAnd the improvement should be of three kinds:
- strengthening spatial perception
- increase the volume without unpleasant gurgling
- sound "closer to the face"when you hold your phone in landscape mode while playing games or watching videos
The difference between states "it plays loud like this" a "That's how I understand it on the bus too" often caused by proper tuning and sound direction. And if the third speaker really does point more forward, it could be a surprisingly noticeable step forward for Xiaomi phones.
Improvements for Xiaomi 17T Pro
According to the same leaker, the three-speaker setup is supposed to be “exclusive” to the upcoming REDMI K90 UltraAnd since Xiaomi often transfers REDMI models to the global market under a different name, it is speculated that this particular phone will appear outside of China as Xiaomi 17t proWhich would certainly please fans of quality sound.
At the same time, the tablet is also mentioned Redmi K Pad 2 with BOSE tuning, which could come out globally as Xiaomi Mi Pad 2For such a compact tablet, I think using three speakers would make a lot of sense, because sound is usually more important here when watching movies and playing games than on a phone.
For now, this is still just unconfirmed speculation, but if Xiaomi really brings BOSE tuning + unconventional 3-speaker setup to the global Xiaomi 17T Pro, it could be one of those "unobtrusive" upgrades that you'll end up using every day and will notice right away when you first watch a video or play a game. We'll see how the phone actually performs in the end, but the BOSE brand has always been a guarantee of quality for me, so I'm really looking forward to it.
