Apple officially introduced its first foldable iPhone with a wide design and a 4:3 aspect ratio. And even though it is a famous phone, the fact is that it looks very similar to Galaxy Z Fold8. And there are more wide-ranging jigsaws on the market, Xiaomi has gone in the same direction with its Xiaomi 18 Fold. However, for regular phones, this is more of an exception, and manufacturers are betting on increasingly thinner and narrower bodies. Huawei has now decided to go the opposite way, and according to the first sales figures, it seems to have hit the user's taste.
Huawei may be facing sanctions from the US and the European Union, but that doesn't stop it from producing increasingly advanced phones and giving them technologies that other brands often only dream of. An example of this unprecedented courage is the new Huawei Pura X View, released only on September 7.9, 2026.

Its charm lies in its construction similar to iPhone Duo, but it doesn't fold up. The cameras are placed next to each other and there are three of them in the back. The main one has great 200 Mpx (1/1.28″, f/1.8, OIS), followed by 50Mpx periscopic telescope (f/2.6, OIS) a 8MP wide-angle sensor. On the front we find an advanced 40Mpx camera.
High brightness, small diagonal
Huawei Pura X View is powered by an advanced Kirin 9030S processor and uses an evaporation chamber with a volume of a solid 6,400 mm² for cooling. The diagonal is 6,39″, but the OLED display has an unconventional resolution of 2232 × 1320 and an aspect ratio of 16:9,5 . It is therefore relatively wide in the hand and not that tall. The brightness of 6,500 nits is among the highest in the world.
The battery is a nice 7,000 mAh and supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging. The water certification is IP68 and IP69 and the thickness is a nice 6,68 mm , while the weight is 201 grams . And there is an eSIM option , as well as satellite messaging support.
The problem will be classically with availability, because Huawei faces sanctions and releases most of its phones and smartwatches only in China. And that will probably be the case here too. Nevertheless, its response is incredible – despite the price of ¥5,999 for the lowest version, people ordered a record 180,000 units during the first day . And I have to admit that I was also very interested in this unconventionally designed phone.
